The Audi A4 40 Premium Sedan features an optional S line Competition package with 19” 5-V spoke star design wheels, sport suspension, black exhaust tips, red brake calipers, and gloss exterior elements with LED headlights. The Komfort offers a Vorsprung Edition package with piano black inlays, 18” wheels, and black exterior details.
The Audi A4 40 premium showcases its sleek Singleframe grille and elegant body lines to its sculpted rear and signature LED taillights; the Audi A4 Sedan leaves a lasting impression. Audi’s popular Black package, which swaps out the A4’s chrome exterior trim for glossy black details, is unavailable on the base 40 models.
2022 Audi A4 40 Premium Sedan Performance
The Audi A4 comes in two strengths. Both are powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder with a 12-volt hybrid system and all-wheel drive that makes 201 horsepower, while the 45 makes 261 horsepower. The Quattro all-wheel drive proactively directs power between axles when needed offering additional grip before it’s needed and efficiency when it’s not. The standard sport suspension on the Audi A4 40 offers optimized handling and a lowered ride height of 23mm.
Trim Levels
The 2022 Audi A4 comes in three different trim levels, including:
- Audi A4 Premium
- Audi A4 Premium Plus
- Audi A4 Prestige
The A4’s modern cabin does a great job of showcasing functionality with high-quality materials and accessible technology features. The Audi dashboard design offers a clean and simplistic cabin.
The rear seat is among themost spacious in its class and features nicely shaped cushions. Audi’s popular Black package, which swaps out the A4’s chrome exterior trim for glossy black details, is unavailable on the base 40 models.

The Audi A4 40 Premium infotainment system consists of a 10.1-inch touchscreen that features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, two USB ports, and voice command. Navigation, SiriusXM Auto radio, and in-car Wi-Fi are included in various option packages, as is a more powerful Bang & Olufsen audio system with 19 speakers. An excellent digital gauge display that Audi calls virtual cockpit is optional.
